Happy To Be Over 50!

Welcome to AgeTrippin!

My story is that I am not a professional writer or photographer. I hope that my grammar, punctuation, and photography get better with each new post. I have spent my years raising children and scrubbing in the operating room. I am a mother, wife, grandmother, sister, and friend. After living over half a century I believe I am only getting better with age. Being over fifty comes with a freedom that I am totally embracing. I have so many places I want to explore. I have so many things I’d like to try. I have so many taste buds ready to savor some food.  

What is AgeTrippin For Me?

To me AgeTrippin is all about traveling on a budget that doesn’t interfere with saving for retirement. I’m still working and saving but I can no longer wait until my retirement years to start the second half of my life. Not to be morbid, but I may not have as many years left as I wish I did. So why not plan for tomorrow but live today?

AgeTrippin is a place to give you ideas. To show you if I can do it, you definitely can do it! I live in Portland, Oregon and I make many trips around this area as well as to more distance lands. If you can’t make it to the places I blog about, who cares. Pull out your map and find places close to you and mimic my experience. Send me your trip ideas, maybe I’ll make it to your neck of the woods. The idea of AgeTrippin is to start to enjoy all you’ve been working towards. It’s time to have some fun!
